Dr. Hossein Dehghani is a research scientist in Mohammad Hafezi's group at the Joint Quantum Institute (JQI) and QuICS. His work focuses on quantum dynamics, exploring its applications in quantum matter and quantum information systems. His research spans hybrid quantum light-matter interactions, driven-dissipative systems, quantum simulation, and quantum error correction, with an overarching goal of using concepts from quantum matter to shed light on quantum information processing. Currently, his research centers on quantum simulation of entangled phases of matter, entanglement phase transitions, and advancements in quantum error correction. Dr. Dehghani earned his PhD in physics under Professor Aditi Mitra at New York University in 2018 and is now a research scientist at JQI.
